The Worthington CC Charitable Foundation Bingo Procedure

The Foundation will sponsor bingo on the first Monday of each month during Worthington’s season, starting in November and ending in April. At least two Foundation members will attend each session. Bingo will occur at the Clubhouse, and sales will start at 5:15 pm.

There will be three selling tables: Bingo card Sales, Rollover Sales, and the 50/50 Raffle sales table.

The Starting Cash Bag: This is the responsibility of the Foundation Control Person. WCC will lend the Foundation $700 each month for start cash. The bingo card sales table will receive $200 start cash, $100 in 5-dollar bills, and $100 in 1-dollar bills. The Rollover table and the 50/50 table will receive $50 each: $10 in ones, $20 in fives, and one 20-dollar bill. The remaining $400 will be available for each table to purchase change from the Assistant Controller. The start cash for each table will be returned to the Starting Cash bag along with that table’s portion of the event fee charged for the extra work of setting up and breaking down the dining room for each bingo session.

Bingo Card Sales Table: The first table will sell cards for the regular, special, and Texas Blackout games. One pack contains ten sheets. Each sheet has three games for play that night. The 2025 cost is $6 per pack. Net dollar sales determine the payout for each game. This is calculated after deducting the starting cash, the event fee, and the reserve. The reserve is an amount that cannot support increased payouts. This amount is less than $40. A calculated payout sheet shows the amount paid for each bingo game played. The Controller and an Associate Bingo seller fill out the control sheet for the Bingo caller to announce each Bingo payout. This sheet will include the two 50/50 raffle sales pulls for the night, the rollover amount, and the number of calls that the rollover bingo must be won, or the rollover game continues until the first bingo wins a $50 consolation prize.

Rollover Sales Table: The second table will sell the Rollover cards. Each sheet has three games per sheet. The 2025 cost is $1 per sheet or $5 for six sheets. The Cover-All Rollover game continues each month, with increasing sales contributing to the payout if the jackpot is not won. Each new Rollover game starts by calling only 55 numbers, which narrows the chance of winning. The game continues if there is no winner, and a winner receives a $50 consolation prize.

Monthly, the Controller will add one number to the beginning 55 numbers until a winner is declared. The Rollover for each night is the sales minus the server fee added to the previous month’s rollover minus the $50 consolation prize for the last month.

50/50 Raffle Sales Table: The third table will sell raffle tickets. The 2025 cost is $1 per ticket or $5 for six tickets. Sales (after the server fee and the starting cash is returned) are divided into three amounts. The foundation receives 50%, and the remaining 50/50 is split between the two drawings held during each session.

ALL SALES STOP AT 6:45 PM.

Each table will count the money twice. An Associate Bingo Seller takes the bingo payout cash tray to the dining room. The Rollover and 50/50 net sales will be given to the Controller.

At the end of the evening, there will be three cash envelopes: the net rollover money, if the rollover is not won with the $50 consolation prize deducted; the reserve cash; and the 50/50 amount, which will be deposited in the Foundation bank account as soon as possible.
